Lenovo introduces the ThinkPad W700 beast

No, you won’t be lugging this one around on your mobile misadventures, but it sure is an interesting desktop replacement from Lenovo. The W700 has an integrated second display that folds into the device. It is 10.6 inches with 768×1280 resolution on a LED backlight screen.
Beyond the dual screen magic this model also packs a ton of amazing specs for all kinds of computing goodness. Note that we’re talking a digitizer and pen here but I believe that’s on the wrist wrest and not the screens.

SimCity now available on iPhone

EA just sent word out by news ticker that SimCity is now available for iPhone (and iPod touch). The game appears to be in the vein of SimCity 3000 and is listed for $10 on the App Store.

The mystery has been solved. Leave it to enterprising New Yorkers to figure out a new and probably illegal way (if you count copyrights) to make money. The cartoon characters each hold a bag of some sort and if a tourist wants to take a picture with them then they ask for “donations”. Pure genius. Now I’m wondering if these guys are all coordinated together…
Cruel irony
Posted on Dec 18th, 2008Autoblog had a nice write-up of the new Nissan 370Z yesterday. When I lived in Vegas I owned a first-year 350Z that was absolutely a blast to drive on long and open desert roads.
Well after looking at some of the photos it became obvious that they did some of the testing just a few minutes from where I used to live in Red Rock Canyon. Oh the cruelty! Their picture on top, my picture on the bottom:
Notice the mountain top in the background of both pictures — yup, that’s Red Rock!
